THE PSYCHOLOGY OF CHANGE

Friday 24 September 2010 10:16 AM
The latest ‘Improvement & Innovation’ Community Network Meeting, which took place in September, featured key speakers from Cadbury’s Schweppes, Weir Group, SCA Global Hygiene and Standard Life.

The one factor in common with all change initiatives is the human element. Any organisational change will involve changing people and their behaviours. The human element is also, however, the one thing that is most difficult to predict as well as being arguably the single biggest influence on success or failure.

During the course of the day, through presentations, discussions, benchmarking and workshops, this meeting focused on “The Psychology of Change”: how and why people react to it, and what change agents can do to plan, predict and affect positively the human element.

The i&i Business Improvement community includes member companies such as AstraZeneca, Baxter Healthcare, British Gas / Centrica, BT, Credit Suisse, General Medical Council, Legal & General, Nokia Services, npower, Royal Mail, SCA Global Hygiene, Standard Life, TNT Express and Virgin Media.
